Royal visits and medical observation

Dr Mahathir was admitted to IJN late last month for medical observation and routine monitoring.

During his stay at IJN, the former prime minister has received several prominent dignitaries, including His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, the Sultan of Brunei, who visited him on October 4 while attending regional engagements in Malaysia.

Family representatives and medical advisors previously noted that while Dr Mahathir remains in stable condition, visits have been kept selective to allow the former prime minister adequate rest.
